Cadillac XT5 Light Up Emblem Description,
This LED emblem replaces the factory front crest on the Cadillac XT5 with a backlit badge that illuminates whenever your daytime running lights are on. The housing is cut to the original XT5 grille aperture at 190 x 70 mm, so it seats in the factory mounting position without trimming or adhesive.
Fitment Warning
This emblem does not fit XT5 models with the Wheat Ear emblem grille. The Wheat Ear badge uses a different shape and mounting pattern, and the LED unit will not seat in the opening. Check your existing badge before ordering. If you are unsure which grille your car has, send us a photo through Contact Us, and we will confirm.
LED and Finish Options
First-generation XT5 fitments are available with either a clean white LED or a colour-shift option that cycles a fixed palette. Second-generation fitments are white LED only. Both generations offer the crest in gloss black, which stays dark until the LED fires and gives the strongest night-time contrast, or silver, which reads closest to the factory finish during the day.

Will this fit my Cadillac XT5? +
It fits both 1st and 2nd generation XT5 models with the standard grille badge. It is not compatible with XT5 variants fitted with the Wheat Ear emblem, which uses a different shape and mounting pattern. Which generation is my XT5? +
The XT5 grille aperture changed with the facelift, so the two fitments cover the pre-facelift and post-facelift cars. Compare your grille and badge against the images above to identify which one matches. If the two look similar to you, send us a photo, and we will confirm before you order rather than risk a return.
Why is colour-shift only available on 1st Generation? +
The colour-shift controller needs more depth behind the badge face than the 2nd Generation aperture allows, so that fitment is produced in white LED only. If your car takes the 2nd Generation size, white LED is the only option we can supply for that grille.
How is the emblem powered? +
The emblem connects to your vehicle’s 12V circuit, normally wired to the daytime running lights or parking lights, so it illuminates automatically whenever those lights are on. The included harness is 1500 mm long, enough to reach the fuse box on the XT5 without an extension. No separate switch or battery is needed.
Is installation difficult? +
Installation is plug-and-play for most owners: remove the factory emblem, route the harness behind the grille, and connect to the power source. No cutting of factory wiring and no coding required. Allow 20 to 30 minutes. If you would rather not work behind the grille, any auto electrician can fit it in under an hour.
Is it waterproof? +
Yes. The housing is sealed to IP67, which covers heavy rain, snow, road spray and standard car washing including automatic washes. Avoid aiming a pressure washer lance directly at the harness grommet from close range.
Will it affect my warranty? +
In most cases, no. The emblem is a non-invasive modification that leaves all factory wiring intact and requires no ECU changes, and the installation is fully reversible. Retain your original badge and proof of purchase. Warranty terms vary by jurisdiction, so check with your dealer if you have specific concerns.
Is there a rear emblem for the XT5? +
This listing covers the front grille emblem only. A universal rear tailgate emblem is available separately in our illuminated Cadillac emblem range. Check the rear badge dimensions on that listing against your own before ordering.
Is this a genuine GM part? +
