Most V-Series style badges sold online are printed vinyl. This one is cut from metal alloy, which is why it holds an edge and a finish that a sticker cannot. At 18.6 g it is light enough to mount on adhesive alone, but it reads as a fitted badge rather than a decal — the difference is obvious the moment you see one in person.
Size and Placement
Each badge measures 11 x 7 cm (4.3 x 2.75 in), sized to sit correctly on a trunk lid, front fender or quarter panel without looking oversized. Two come in a set, so most owners fit one either side of the rear panel, or one on each front fender behind the wheel arch.
Three Finishes
Silver reads closest to factory trim on most Cadillac paint colours. Matte black suits cars with a blacked-out grille or badge delete treatment and stays subtle in daylight. Gold is the boldest of the three and stands out most against dark bodywork.
Fitting

Will it fit my Cadillac? +

Will it damage my paint when removed? +
On factory paint in good condition, no. Warm the badge gently with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive, then work fishing line or dental floss behind it and saw slowly through the tape. Residue comes off with adhesive remover. Take more care on repainted panels or wrapped surfaces.
Will it survive a car wash? +
Yes, once the adhesive has cured. Wait 24 hours after fitting before the first wash. After that the metal finish and the 3M tape handle automatic washes, rain, heat and snow without lifting or fading.
Is this a genuine GM part? +
